3. Education
In the 2020-2021 academic year, the student population of Andorra, including the school and
non-university population abroad, was 11,019. The data for the university population for the
same period is not available on the date of preparing this report so a comparison cannot be made
with the total student population of the previous year. By subgroups, a reduction can be seen
in both the school population and the number of non-university students abroad, which is much
greater in the latter (-0.6% and -38.8%, respectively).
3.1. School population
In the 2020-2021 academic year, there were
10,910 students at school level, 69 less than STUDENT POPULATION BY LEVELS
in the previous year and the lowest level in the Table 4.3

By levels, 84.9% of school students are

last year was again marked by the reduction 1991
in kindergarten students (-4.8%). This is the
seventh consecutive decline, a trend related
to the falling numbers of births in recent
years. The number of students in primary
education also fell, but rose in the higher levels
of secondary education, baccalaureate and
vocational training.
